Avishkar came into
existence in December 2008. It was an intra college event in its first
year, which received overwhelming response from the students of first year
under graduates. Later, in 2009, Avishkar opened the gates for other colleges
to participate in the competition which lead to an Inter college event.
Since then, Avishkar is conducted in two phases 1) Intra level and 2) Inter
level. This event is organized by the 2nd year undergraduate students under the
guidance of the 3rd years.
Avishkar has been a
convenient platform for the 1st year B.Tech students to have an
effective interaction with the seniors. The participants are judged by a
panel of judges who both scrutinize them as judges and also guide them as
mentors hence making Avishkar a learning process resulting in refined,
confident and professional individuals. Avishkar is one of the key events under
IEEE VBIT SB aimed exclusively at the first years. IEEE VBIT SB has been
successful in conducting the event for the past 5 years and aims to continue to
do so in future.
